It took me over ten years in business to finally invest in a web designer, and I think that’s because the universe wanted me to connect with Zoë. Truthfully, I was scared to allow a graphic designer into my brand because it’s very unique and difficult to pin down. I do a lot of things and I expect a lot out of my brand, and it felt really vulnerable to allow another creative to see me behind the scenes. But working with Zoë felt like a soft place to land. I never felt judged and I always felt supported (even when my ideas were a little unhinged), and somehow Zoë managed to see right through my chaos to make something concise and concrete. Zoë asks a lot of her clients because she asks a lot of herself, but more than that, she asks a lot because she wants to create something magical. As an artist, I was in awe of her creativity, but as a small-business owner, I was flabbergasted by how well she runs her business. She’s possibly the most organized freelancer I’ve ever worked with, and she’s inspired me over and over with her process and her designs. And let me tell you, her designs blew me away. She does such a great job of taking simple concepts and elevating them to something beautiful. I don’t know how she does what she does, but I’m so privileged to have gotten to work with her!
